Lena Erziak is a brand of luxury accessories founded in 2009 by Leona Erziak, the Belgian born, New York & Paris based designer. The label debuted as a meticulously curated collection of sophisticated handbags when Leona found her true calling and decided to give it all up as a successful real estate developer and to take the path as a designer.
The collection immediately garnered praise from Harper's Bazaar, Elle, InStyle, Vogue, L'Officiel and Women's Wear Daily, to name a few. Celebrity clients soon followed, including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Mamie Gummer, Eva Longoria and Diane Kruger.
After a three year hiatus, Leona relaunched Lena Erziak in 2017 with a sophisticated collection of shoes, handmade by artisans in Italy. Lena Erziak is now a bold, flirty, glamorous brand with an edge, born out of the desire to create shoes by women for women. With comfort in mind, Leona created a unique collection of Italian shoes that can easily transition from day to night letting the wearier exude both confidence and an air of understated sexiness. Leona gains inspiration from the everyday international woman. Her love of worldwide travel and international culture gives Leona a very unique perspective.
Leona was born in Belgium with Moroccan heritage, to a seamstress Mother and a Master Potter for a Father, she developed a love of creative design at a very early age.
Knowing how difficult it would be to pursue a creative path in life, Leona’s mother gave her very astute advice. She advised Leona to go into business, secure herself financially and if she still longed to be the arts, she could then follow her heart. Leona heeded her mother’s advice and studied communications and international relations becoming a successful real estate developer. However, Leona could not shake the creative calling she felt inside, and thus the birth of Lena Erziak.
